Lets understand these roles first and hopefully, the answer would emerge out of the woods on its own. It is the Product Owner’s job to give directions to the dev team and ensure team comes good on its commitments. The Product Owner and the Scrum Master is the role combination I have the strongest opinion about. It’s the one I warn most strongly against.
